Swarnjit Singh Khalsa also Known as Singh from Norwich is active Community Member who has not just talked but also walked the walk, He made his way to people’s hearts in Norwich and in State Of Connecticut thru this work and passion to create strong community.
Swarnjit Singh Khalsa (D) has been proudly serving City of Norwich as City Council Member Since December of 2021.
Public Service runs in Singh’s family and his great grandfather, his grandfather and even father was in public service in Punjab (Sikh Homeland) and Singh has continued the family legacy even in America.
Swarnjit Singh Khalsa has been serving Norwich community since 2010 in many capacities.He served in Commission of City Plan for over 6 years and also served in many boards and commissions including Inland Wetland Commission, Member of POCD,Director of NCDC (Norwich Community Development Corporation),Member of NACA (Norwich Area Clergy Association) and is still serving in many of those positions.
In 2019 Singh successfully ran for Board of Education of Norwich and won election with good margin.
in 2021 Singh Successfully Ran for Norwich City Council and secured the Majority for Democrats in Norwich by getting second highest votes out of all the candidates.

Swarnjit Singh Khalsa was born in New Delhi which is Capitol of India and After 1984 Sikh Genocide his family moved to Punjab (Under Indian Region).
Singh Came to United States as International Student for finish his Masters in Computer Science and eventually got business in Connecticut.
Since 2010 Singh and his family is living in Norwich,CT where they have helped many families to settle down in Norwich area.
Singh is Blessed with beautiful family that include his wife and daughter.
Singh had Completed his Masters Degree in Computer Science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and is Successfully running his Real estate and retail business in Connecticut.
We as City and State Must treat our people with respect and it is very important that every individual feels connected to it’s city and State.
Economic Development and Sustainability can be achieved thru practicing equity in policies and by making sure resources and help is available to People who wants to do something to improve their and society Standards.
Education cannot be ignored as it’s is long term investment that will pay off itself over period of time. Education is very necessary to build stronger and well informed community and society.
We cannot leave anybody behind and we should provide resources in various languages so we can reach out to immigrants communities as well.
